The Art Is In gallery is owned and operated by Heather and Mark Weiler. The gallery is in Salt Lake City, Utah. Located in the heart of the downtown area, the gallery allows visitors from around the world to see some of the region’s finest artists.
Mark is well known for his fine art photography using the IRIS printer to produce his work. Yet he is equally gaining a reputation for his sculptures. Using unusual mediums such as cutlery and currency, he creates figures and abstracts to please in both the indoor and outdoor setting. His resume is lengthy and includes awards and commissions. His work is found internationally.
Heather is by profession a speech-language pathologist. However, her passion for the arts and her communication background melds to create a venue for artists. An avid reader and curious by nature, Heather has researched and been involved in the arts for years. She currently volunteers at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts when she is not in the gallery or in the production studio. Active commitment to the community has long been Heather’s trademark in her associations with such organizations as the Junior League.
In addition to the owners, the gallery is dedicated to fostering the talents of its artists. Currently the featured artists include: Ron Cheek, KVON, Rodney Wade, Willamarie, and Al Rounds among others. The artists are able to show not only their original works but also can collaborate with Mark to create the finest prints available.
The gallery provides other services such as; fine art reproduction, web design and development, ad layouts, custom framing, and has facilitates liaisons between book publishers and artist.
